Experts are emphasising the urgent need for organisations to adequately support and value their HR teams, according to a recent report.
The report found that only 42 per cent of HR professionals would recommend their company to others. The survey, conducted by Ciphr among 300 HR decision-makers, also revealed that over a third (37 per cent) of respondents feel overworked most or all of the time, and approximately a quarter (28 per cent) frequently contemplate leaving their current positions.
Gemma Bullivant, HR coach and consultant, told People Management these findings highlighted the “urgent need for organisations to support HR teams better”.
“It starts with recognising the expanded roles and contributions of HR professionals, and getting clear on exactly what the expectations are of the HR team, and then by providing appropriate resources and development. This includes development for managers, who often rely on HR to do the hard stuff for them.”
